Shooting in Oulu

Hello all.i'm new to this forum,i can read and speak finnish but can't write worth a dam'n:)I live here in Oulu and i would like to get into shooting.I was in the Finnish army back in 92-93 and was a alikersantti.
From what i understan from reading this forum the Sra type of shooting sounds very interesting to me.
So first question is how do i get into it,by joing the resreväisliitto and then what?
It's been a while since i've last used a firearm of any sorts,so would it be better that i join a local shooting club and practice before joining the SRA?And does anybody know of a gunclub here in Oulu?
would be much appreciated if anyone could help me out on this one.Thanks

In SRA you must be member of some Reservist Club. In Oulu area the
most natural Club is "Oulun Reserviläiset Ry." On following page are all
clubs in area:

One of the most active Clubs is: "Pohjanmaan Akateeminen Maanpuolustusseura Ry"

I think they have regular shooting events so joining to that Club might
be also good solution. And without own guns this is easiest way to start.
PAM is having own dedicated SRA gun set purchased for shooting.

I'm informing about next SRA course in "lipas.net" soon.

Allright then,thanks for the replies:)Checked out the PAM web page and from what i understand you have to me a university student or ex student,for which i am not,i'll give em a call anyways.Thanks again:)

Actually PAM ry is today pretty liberal organization concerning members so you don't need to be university student to join. Everybody intrested in reservist action is welcome. Problem seems to be that even though there should be lots of people intrested of shooting in oulu, there's no organization that could gather them to create more active community, and PAM ry is trying to evolve to be that organization.

PAM ry does have regular events, we have .22lr shooting at OMAS indoor range usually every monday at 18-20 and on most weekends we're at hiukkavaara shooting SRA or at 150m range shooting more disciplinary courses.
